TABITHA KARANJA, CEO KEROCHE IS WRONGLY TARGETED
I have personally met Keroche CEO, Tabitha Karanja. I must attest that she is friendly and lovely. But let me go straight to my point. Currently, and it never started yesterday, she sponsors over 360 students within Naivasha alone to Universities and Secondary schools around the country. These are needy but bright students. The beneficiaries of her sponsorship program cuts across ethnic divide.
I know of Luos whose parents work in flower farms in Naivasha whom she sponsors. I also remember an incident in 2012 when she personally walked into the the home of a Turkana girl who was invited for admission to Alliance Girls but couldn’t join due to lack of fees. She sponsored her and the poor girl is now in her forth form. Tabitha has been fought for a very long time. Jane Kihara, the former Naivasha MP fought her, then came John Mututho and we now have Uhuru’s lapdog, the current MP Kihagi.
When the fight against illicit brew started, I said that the directive by the president was good but the manner in which it is carried out will be disastrous. i made it clear that the current MPs will use it as a coverup to target and attack their opponents. You have seen it yourself in Naivasha. Now, I empathize with the woman, but more so, the local investors. And just as he asked, is everything local illicit?
Investing in Kenya is becoming risky for locals. Going to destroy a 8B investment? On this, Uhuru has shown us his cruel side and hostility against local investors. If they can attack their own, what about others? Tafakari hayo.
